What is the difference between a day ticket and a festival pass?
A day ticket admits you on one named date. A festival pass covers every day of the event and is usually cheaper per day, but is non-transferable between people.
Can I bring my own food and drink to a festival?
Most outdoor festivals allow an empty refillable bottle and sometimes sealed snacks, but ban outside alcohol and glass entirely. Camping festivals are more permissive in the campsite than in the arena.
Do festivals refund tickets for bad weather?
Rarely. Outdoor festivals are advertised as rain-or-shine and refund only if the event is cancelled outright. Check the promoter terms on the ticket page.
When do state fairs run?
Most US state fairs run for 10 to 17 days between mid-August and early October, timed around the harvest. County fairs are earlier, typically June to August.
